The route, day by day
10 days, unhurried.
Day 01
Arrive Paro
Champagne arrival at your lodge overlooking the valley. Slow evening — you've just landed at 2,280m.
Day 02
Paro valley, privately
A gentle valley walk to Kyichu Lhakhang, where monks perform a traditional blessing ceremony for your marriage.
Day 03
Paro → Punakha
Over Dochula pass with a private picnic among the chortens, descending into the warm Punakha valley.
Day 04
Punakha — dzong & river
Punakha Dzong in the soft morning light, then an afternoon drifting the Mo Chhu by private raft. Candle-lit courtyard dinner.
Day 05
Punakha — slow day
Sunrise yoga on your terrace, spa treatments, and a walk to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal chorten through rice terraces.
Day 06
Punakha → Gangtey
Climb into the glacial Phobjikha valley, winter home of the black-necked cranes. Evening around the lodge's farmhouse fire.
Day 07
Gangtey nature trail
The gentle Gangtey nature trail through meadows and pine, monastery visit, and a private hot-stone bath under the stars.
Day 08
Gangtey → Paro
Return west (or take the helicopter over the passes). Farewell tasting-menu dinner at the lodge.
Day 09
Tiger's Nest, together
The classic pilgrimage hike — horses available for the first half. Prayer-flag hanging ceremony at the ridge.
Day 10
Depart Paro
Slow breakfast, private transfer, departure.
